News from the CIUSSS

Valid vaccination passport required to enter health and social services facilities by October 15

In compliance with the new measures that have been put in place by the Government of Quebec, we would like to remind you that the vaccination passport system will go into effect in all of the province’s healthcare and social services facilities—including every site in CIUSSS West-Central Montreal—on October 15. Proof of vaccination—i.e., a vaccination passport—will have to be presented, along with photo identification, except for people receiving care, residents in long-term care facilities and healthcare workers.

With a trial run of the verification of passports now underway, we remind you that no one will be turned away prior to October 15th.

If you are coming to any of our sites in the coming days, please take this into consideration and arrive a little earlier to ensure that you have enough time to be screened.

The Minister of Health and Social Services, Christian Dubé, has also announced that the deadline for the compulsory vaccination of health and social services workers has been postponed to November 15. For more information on the deadline extension, and what it means for health care workers across the province, please consult:  https://www.msss.gouv.qc.ca/ministere/salle-de-presse/communique-3204/ (available in French only at this time)

Thank you for your cooperation.
